Our last stop in the UK took place at PGi’s annual EMEA Sales Kick Off in Winchester.
Will and I said goodbye to Robin & Jared in London and our new Hackney friends and drove to Windsor for a quick trip before heading off to the event in Winchester.
To get to Windsor, we had to get out of London. I think I screwed up with the directions and we ended up going straight through the heart of London.
Driving Merlin through London was a surreal experience. Every since I was a child, I’ve had this prestigious, very unattainable, grand image of London. I still think London is just as grand and prestigious, but it’s now more accessible than I originally thought given we drove our minivan through it. We navigated our way through some of London’s most nottable landmarks – St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Bridge, Big Bend, Trafalgar Square and past a thousand gorgeous buildings. I never would have imagined this would be something I would ever get to do.
It might have taken us an hour and a half to get out of the city, but we made it, it was an adventure and within no time, we were having lunch in Windsor at this cute little place.
I so excited to finally be at the event and to see one of my team members from Austin.

After the event we packed up the van and drove to Dover. We got there a bit early so we made a delicous grocery store lunch and made our way to the Dover McDonald’s where we worked the rest of the afternoon.
Known for it’s stunning white cliffs, Dover is a major ferry port and has been for quite some time. We enjoyed taking our place in line and getting ready for the big journey to Calais, France.
